Since 2008, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) has partnered with Bauman Moscow State Technical University to jointly offer an undergraduate dual-degree program in “Russian Language — Rocket Systems and Aerospace.” The program follows a 2+3 curriculum model. Up to now, it has produced nearly 200 graduates. The curriculum for this joint program seamlessly integrates the strengths of both universities. Students spend their first two years at HIT, learning Russian language skills and foundational science and engineering courses, including basic subjects like mathematics, physics, and mechanics, as well as introductory aerospace courses that lay a solid groundwork for their studies at Bauman. In the subsequent three years at Bauman, students will delve into core courses in rocket systems and aerospace, such as spacecraft and launch vehicle system design, structural design, engine system design, and aerospace dynamics.
